Attribute error fun-ness

So, I've got this product. It's called 'Site' it's running on zope 2.5.1 on zeo 2 (python 2.2.2) every once in a while I will get an error something like this: AttributeError 'module' object has no attribute 'Site' Traceback (innermost last): File /usr/local/services/zope/lib/python/ZPublisher/Publish.py, line 102, in publish File /usr/local/services/zope/lib/python/Zope/__init__.py, line 176, in commit File /usr/local/services/zope/lib/python/ZODB/Transaction.py, line 251, in commit File /usr/local/services/zope/lib/python/ZODB/Connection.py, line 570, in tpc_vote File /var/zope/lib/python/ZEO/ClientStorage.py, line 562, in tpc_vote (Object: ('hume.i.ispvip.biz', 8080)) File /var/zope/lib/python/ZEO/ClientStorage.py, line 546, in _check_serials (Object: ('hume.i.ispvip.biz', 8080)) AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'Site' I can't figure out what a common thread might be, or what i could do to solve this proble,. does anyone else have any ideas? thanks much. stefan

ZCVSMixin Import Error

Has anyone ever got an error similar to the one below when trying to import files thru ZCVSMixin (AFTER they were exported from same application) The file was not modified in any way but it refuses to re-import after being exported. UndoSearch Timeout

Hello, We have a ZODB which is about 12 - 14 gigs when packed. We use FileStorage, and when anyone clicks Undo eventually times out. This is better now that the undoLog does not lock the database. However if there are not enough transactions to fill the batch Undo is useless. So, everytime we upgrade to a new version of Zope I patch FileStorage.py to add a timeout. Used to be 3 seconds when the ZODB locked, now I've bumped it up to 10 seconds. Has anyone else had this problem? Would adding the timeout, possibly set by an environment variable, be considered by the maintainers? Thanks, Brian Brinegar Engineering Computer Network (ECN) Purdue University

xmlrpc to zope change?

After doing some testing with Zope 2.6.2b5, we discovered that a number of our scripts that do xmlrpc to Zope were not working. It turns out that the URI to use to connect to Zope will not work if you have /RPC2/ as was required before. Should I file a collector item on this? Announce: new www.zope.org is LIVE!

At long last, http://www.zope.org has gone live with a new look and a new platform based on Zope 2.6.2, CMF 1.3 and Plone! Our thanks go to the cast of thousands who have participated in this project over time, most recently Guido van Rossum and Sidnei de Silva for getting us to the goal line. Zope.org is a big site with a lot of content. We've tried hard to test the most common resources, but we fully expect some issues to arise in the transition. We are also certain that the best way to work things out quickly is to 'make it live' and tackle the issues as they come up. If you notice anything weird, broken or missing from the site, please send us a problem reporting using the ZopeOrg issue collector: http://collector.zope.org/ZopeOrg/collector_add_issue_form Issues that we are aware of and working to resolve this week include: - Logging in as a member takes a ridiculously long time. We think this might be an LDAP interaction and we working to fix it. - We have not done extensive cache tuning yet - if you experience any unreasonably slow load times, please let us know the URL you were trying to get to help us tune caching. Mailinglists

Hi, something went wrong on all zope.org mailinglists recently. I discovered that the sender adresses aren't zope.org anymoure but python.org. This crashes my mailinglist filters as they are using the List-Id field that isn't supposed to change. Is this temporarily due to zope.org update or will it remain in this state? invokeFactory problem

I have a portal_type called ClientBill. I can create it by using the folder_factories script no problem. I want to create one in the users home folder programatically, when they register in the portal.
