Memory Leak Problem

Hi all, i have a little problem with my production server. The memory usage of the zope processes running on this server are growing up 100K a day upto 1MB a day. How can i track down the problem. Hello again, I have a little bit more information about our specific "crash" environment. First of all, I looked in the Big M Log at the time of the crashes, but couldn't find anything interesting : 8 of the 10 times it was a dtml document containing plain stylesheet data :( I don't think there's any usefull information in here, because the crashes are threading related. Second of all I managed to get a traceback (?) of a gdb session, I don't know if it's any usefull information, I'm not a zope expert on this area, I hope other people (zope developers?) understand what's on the traceback. The customer was not happy with my session, but that environment is the only one that crashes, we still cannot reproduce the error here, nor can we make a testcase for the crash there :( I put the traceback online on http://www.coherence.nl/crash.txt. regards, martijn

Zope crash problem

Hi My experiences with zope 2.5.1b1 and python 2.1.2 crashes are now only with CMF 1.1 installed. The new system with plugin indexes implemented in zope 2.4.x (with text fields plugin splitters compiled in c as python modules for optimization) is a diff with stable zope 2.3.3 platform.. Can splitter modules (or eventually other python module .so of zope core) crash zope 2.5.1b1 ? How can I test this? Help with DTML-IN statement

Hello, I am very new to Zope/DTML and I am a little confused with the operation of the DTML-IN statement. Here is the snippet of code <table border=1 width=100%> <dtml-in expr="( ((1), (1,2),(4,5,6),(7,8,9)) )"> <tr> <td><dtml-var sequence-item></td> </tr> </dtml-in> </table> This code displays the contents 4 cells in a table and the output is 1 2 (4,5,6) (7,8,9) I am a litte confused because I thought it would display the contents of the list as (1) (1,2) (4,5,6) (7,8,9) I believe this is related to something I read about tuples of ( key, value) will handled with sequence-key and sequence-item ???? I must be traversing the list incorrectly.....can anyone give me an example of how to traverse this list of tuples correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.....thank you very much in advance Gary

Zope 2.5: allow_type

Hi, There seems to be a bug in either AccessControl.SimpleObjectPolicies.allow_type or Products.PythonScripts.module_access_examples.py, as module_access_examples's examples such as allow_type(type(re.compile(''))) dont work. Putting a list of objects into the current namespace (or something)

I am trying to create a "virtual" folder. It should get a list of objects from somewhere else ie. a Catalog query and then act as if the objects exists in that folder. If the objects existed in this structure: / Members/ member1/ doc1 doc2 member2/ doc3 doc4 I want to show the objects in a new context, like: / news/ doc1 doc3 articles/ doc2 doc4 So an url like "/news/doc1" should actually show doc1 from "/Members/member1/doc1" transparently. Has anybody got any pointers as to how I could do this best ? My idea is either to subclass ObjectManager and overwrite "__getitem__()", or to find a way to push my objectlist onto the request object. Any better ideas? Pointers to code that does something similar? regards Max M

variables in zope (beginner question)

Hello, I the code below I want to be declare a variable 'tot_net_amt' and add 'net_amt' to it for each record returned. How can I: 1) declare the variable 2) add to it within the loop. Thanks. Underscore trouble.

Yo, We have to connect to an existing database from zope. In this database, some of the fieldnames start with an underscore (fi _url). Zope sees these as protected and raises an exception when we try to access the tables with a select... Is there a way to disable this Zope 'feature' on ZMySQL methods ? TIA, Sloot.
