Hi All, After a recent upgraded to Zope 2.12, I'm now seeing errors like the following when using IE (version 8) or Safari (version 4.0.3) to view page templates. Chrome and Firefox work fine. Hello, zope.app.appsetup installs the following RootErrorReportingUtility: ensureUtility(root_folder, IErrorReportingUtility, '', RootErrorReportingUtility, copy_to_zlog=False) My problem with this is that copy_to_zlog=False, that means if your app is *really* hosed you don't get the error logged to the usual error.log or event.log and are also *unable* to access the UI of the utility. import of zexp containing Page Template objects causes sudden zope death

Hi All, So, here the story; I have a zodb that's been around for many years. In it, it has a folder containing a few ZPTs and python scripts. This server is now running Zope 2.12. If I zexp export that folder and import into a clean 2.12 instance, the import works fine, but when I try to go to the folder in the ZMI, Zope dies immediately. No messages, no errors, no output. If I delete the ZPTs before the export and import, everything is okay. I can browse the folder and ZPTs fine on the originating server, even after the 2.12 upgrade. I'm left with a vague "wtf?!" feeling. Does anyone have any clue what the problem might be or how I can get any kind of output or error message when it does happen? Zope 2.12.9 broke ZMySQLDA in the middle of a stable release series

Hi, The latest Zope 2.12.9 release broke the last release of Products.ZMySQLDA. Internal buildbots that tracked the 2.12 branch notified me of this problem, but in between catching up with all the traffic for the mailing lists and the Zope commit, and a day job, I didn't have enough time to track down the issue before the 2.12.9 release was made: there was less than 4 days between spinning off Products.ZSQLMethods and the new 2.12 release. The most trivial fix seems fairly obvious: ZMySQLDA should carry its own icon, but in any case, Zope 2.12 should not break compatibility in the middle of a stable series. I strongly suspect other Zope2 DB adapters to suffer from the same problem. I'm not sure what the proper fix should be. App.ImageFile.ImageFile could grow support for icons outside of software_home, or perhaps the spinning-off of Shared.DC.ZRDB should be delayed to the 2.13 series only, but in any case the 2.12 branch should be a safe upgrade for third party code as much as reasonably possible. suggestions?
