zope.testing for Python 3.1

The py3k branch for zope.testing now mostly passes the tests as well: svn+ssh://regebro@svn.zope.org/repos/main/zope.testing/branches/regebro-python3-reloaded Two tests fail. One is for unicode, and doesn't make sense under Python 3. We can either remove it completely, but it does test a bugfix that was done in the custom doctest.py, and which I moved to a monkey-patch when I got rid of the doctest.py. We should probably make bugreports in the pythontracker for those monkey-patches to, but they still need to be there for current python versions, and should be tested. The other option is to extract it to a separate test, but since it's a doctest of a doctest that's a pain in the böm, so I haven't done that. The other test is the same obscure failure that exist under Python 2.7, indicating that this is an actual change in how Python behaves. Zope.testing fails on Python 2.7

Just a FYI: A lot of classes have moved around in Python 2.7, meaning many tests failed on Python 2.7. I solved that, but there is one remaining error which completely escapes me, in the testing of the post-mortem debugging. z3c.sqlalchemy 1.0.11

Hi, There is no tag for z3c.sqlalchemy 1.0.11 http://svn.zope.org/z3c.sqlalchemy/tags/?rev=106375 and the latest package on PyPI is 1.0.12. No other earlier versions. We have an application in production with z3c.sqlalchemy 1.0.11. I don't know how the paquage we use was generated, but we needed to regenerate it, and we found that the revision for 1.0.11 is r78477 May I commit a tag for this version? It would also be good that earlier packages be generated and uploaded to PyPI. I can do it if someone gives me admin access to it. regards, Christophe

script to help with dependency cleanup

Hi, With all the dependency cleanup going on in the ZTK (and grok 1.1alpha) we wanted to try it out with our internal packages. So: removing unneeded dependencies from code. "If you import from it, you must mention it as a dependency in your setup.py", so the setup.py needs cleaning up, too. To make that easier, I made z3c.dependencychecker that gives you a handy report on what to add or remove. Be careful and do some grepping of your own, too. And run the tests. And watch out for the obvious naming problems like PIL/Imaging and ZODB/persistence/btree. Anyway: 1.0 is just out: http://pypi.python.org/pypi/z3c.dependencychecker I've already fixed up grok's grokcore packages with this (and our intenral ones), so it is tested on a reasonable set of packages.
