That test was added after ZODB 3.8.0. The rest of the tests like it allow len(self._storage) to return 0, indicating the storage does not need to support that operation. I have fixed the test to allow len() to return 0 on the ZODB 3.8 branch and the trunk. Shane

Hi, I'm having a bit of a problem that looks like a 32 bit vs 64 bit issue with RelStorage, can anyone help? Dependencies question

I was looking at dependencies of various zope.* packages and see that some packages depend on other because of ZCML directives and some are not. For example: The zope.app.catalog package depends on zope.app.component, but doesn't use it anywhere in non-testing code, however it does use the ``class`` directive, registered in zope.app.component. While the zope.app.keyreference doesn't depend on zope.app.component at all, but uses ``class`` directive as well. So, the question is: what's the common policy for that? Should we depend on packages that is used in ZCML or not? Or maybe ZCML-related dependencies should be in some extras_require, say "zcml"? Personally, I think, that extras_require way is a nice compromise for that. Because many of packages can be used greatly without ZCML configuration, but getting ZCML-reqired dependencies should be easy. PS BTW, I think that zope.app.keyreference should be moved to plain zope.keyreference, because it's really lightweight, useful outside of zope and it doesn't depend on any zope.app package. z3c.form bug with radio widget label

hey, i guess i found a bug in z3c.form.browser.radio. in z3c.form.browser.radio, line 49 (class RadioWidget, def update), the line should read label = term.value instead of label = term.token we found this, while trying to display some unicode characters (umlaute) in radio widget labels. this issue is still valid in current trunk (file revision 78513). i report it here, because i could not find a bug tracker for z3c.form. is there any? cheers, hannes

z3c.form 2.0 release

Hi, Is there any indication on when we'll see a 2.0 release of z3c.form? We need a widget that's not in the 1.9 release, but is on trunk (for a list with textline value type), and are wondering whether to roll our own or wait for a new z3c.form release. local grants for z3c.rest not working.

Hi all, Recently i was looking for some zope3 based solutions for implementing RESTful public API. And i found z3c.rest. To begin with package I have installed it and enabled the the RESTviews for 'Folder' that is provided in the 'tests' sub-folder of z3c.rest. It works fine. Then i changed the Permission setting for GET view from 'zope.View' to 'zope.ManageContent' and i expected this would make the GET view of the Folder to be unavailable to the Public. But it was still possible for me to call the GET view with an 'unauthorised' request. Similarly, i changed the permission for POST/PUT from 'zope.ManageContent' to 'zope.Public' and still I had to get authenticated to access it. Can any one please tell me how can i use local grants with z3c.rest? I expected it to work the same way as other zope:views do. Please help me on this. I have installed the package available in the svn trunk. Zope3 setup is zope3.4.0c1 + python 2.5 I have tested the GET view using both web browser and a python script.
