Bug in zc.resourcelibrary?

I found some behaviour of zc.resourcelib which I'm not sure is intended that way: The lib takes care to apply only to HTML and XML content, so it tests whether the content type (if set) is among text/html and text/xml: if content_type == 'text/html' or content_type == 'text/xml': ... However, it does so by exact comparison, so it would apply to "text/html" but not "text/html; charset=utf-8". Wouldn't a check like if content_type.split(';', 1)[0] in ('text/html', 'text/xml'): ... be more appropriate? -- Thomas

PAU question - how to I handle roles on principals

I have created a simple authenticator plug-in. It allows me to load my users from my database. The plug-in only allows me to control the name of a principal and validate their user name / password. I need to tell Zope which roles different users have. I have the roles stored on the database. How do I develop/install a plug-in/adapter which will will be invoked for the getRolesForPrincipal() method or be invoked as the IPrincipalRoleManager adapter? My authenticator just is setup to produce a zope.app.authentication.principalfolder.Principal for the Principal Object. Thanks Kevin

getting RestrictedPython working on Python 2.5

Hi All, I'm looking to get RestrictedPython working in Python 2.5. Has any work been done on this so far? My first question is about the "right" way to get a checkout that I can develop in now. In years gone by, I would have created a branch of the whole of zope 3, checked it out and then started work. Since eggification, I'm not sure what to do... What I was planning on doing was creating a branch of RestrictedPython, checking that out and then manually checking out any dependencies from svn. bug in ZopePageTemplate.py?

Hi Guys, Can you remember why you added the following line to ZopePageTemplate.py? content_type = 'text/html' It seems to arbitarily lock new page templates (or subclasses of them) into text/html mode. Bug in AbsoluteURL Adapter

Hi there, while using the AbsoluteURL Adapter in a view, it only returns the path of the object, not the URL. This is because the object does not have a request and therefore the method absolute_url() used by the adapter cannot call the physicalPathToURL() method. Because we always have the request object in this adapter we can call the physicalPathToURL() method directly and convert the physical path of the object and return it.
