how can I call a Page Template from a product?

Hi, I developed a simple product to display a stock quote in a portlet. The product is based on some python scripts (stored in a product directory under Plone products). I have written in zope a page template (portlet-style) to display the results: everything ok. Now I have created a 'skin' directory under the product dir, and copied a .pt file with the ZPT source for the portlet. I have added the registerDirectory call in the __init__.py under the product directory. The product appears loaded in Zope, but I am not able to call the page template under the skin directory. We can talk about this issue when Python 2.4 comes near to a final release but I don't see the major benefits of Python 2.4 over 2.3.4 except some improvements in speed. Andreas

Product doesn't work in zope 2.7 that was working in 2.6

Can anybody please help me, Our product Named GNOWSYS is working perfectly in zope 2.6 but when ported to zope 2.7 it does'nt get instantiated. xml-rpc changes between 2.7.0 and 2.7.3 ??

Bad interaction between Zope 2.7.3 and CMF 1.4

While testing a large-ish customer project under Zope 2.7.3 we found that when an object with setDefaultAccess('deny') is used as the context for a PythonScript, the script can no longer aquire tools from the portal root. Because a test says more than a thousand words, I added one to CMFDefault. To reproduce: - get Zope-2_7-branch - get CMF-1_4-branch - run tests of CMFDefault, notably test_RestrictedAcquisition.py Rolling back this checkin restores functionality: http://mail.zope.org/pipermail/zope-checkins/2004-August/028152.html Note that I was unable to reproduce the issue with CMF 1.5 (or plain Zope, for that matter). What has changed? Beats me! Note that this issue has the potential to break each and every Plone site out there. Ultimately, I feel that unless there is a *very* good reason for removing the aq_acquire call from cAccessControl/ImplPython it should be restored. Fw: executing API functions and zope's security

Hi, I have a Xron product installed onto Zope 2-6-2. I would like to flush permanent and not referenced objects at given time from cache. To do it I have to use API function manage_minimize() (You can do it in ZMI as well: Control_panel->Database->Flush). I prepared a DTMLdocument with source as follows: <dtml-var "Control_Panel.Database.manage_minimize()"> When Xron tries to execute DTMLdocument above, it occurs as anonymous user and ends failure becouse of zope's security restrictions. I tried to add permisions to DTMLdocument and Schedule objects in "Security" tab but without success. Does anybody know which of permissions I have to mark to execute that operation? Krzychu K
