Bug? Handling of attribute names and default values in forms in 2.61 ??

I have a piece of code that looks like below. It has worked for a few years now. After upgrading to 2.61 it doesn't any more. <input type="hidden" name="teachers:list:default" value=""> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('teacherList', getAllTeachers())"> <dtml-in teacherList sort=title> <input type="checkbox" name="teachers:list" value="<dtml-var path>"<dtml-if selected> checked</dtml-if>> <a href="<dtml-var path>/manage_main">&dtml-title;</a><br> </dtml-in> I have tracked the problem to the default value always being added to the "teachers" list. meaning that my action method: def addTeacher(self, teachers): print teachers >> ['some/path', ''] Where I would expect: >> ['some/path'] Isn't that a new behaviour? Rendering xml content in ZPT

Hi all: I have problems to rendering data if the ZPT is xml content-type. I have include xmlns:tal namespace definition and a replacemente of an attribute in the xml text with <loc src="http://localhost" tal:attributes="src here/absolute_url"> But this replacement is ignored and if I try to view this method, the xml is exactly the same... ThreadedAsync.LoopCallback.register_loop_callback in Zope 2.7

Does anyone know what is the replacement for ThreadedAsync.LoopCallback.register_loop_callback in Zope 2.7? The problem that in 2.7 asyncore is not started using asyncore.loop. Instead it is manully polled in Lifetime.py. Therefore all callback that are registered via ThreadedAsync.LoopCallback.register_loop_callback are not called.

Structured text <img> html tag not working properly in Zope 2.61

I have a site with lots of structured text. There are many <img src='/some/image'> tags in the texts. But after upgrading from Zope 2.51 to Zope 2.61, I get broken images all over the place. Example:: <img src='images/kreativ.jpg' align='left'> This tag is turned into:: <img src="%3Ccode">images/kreativ.jpg align='left'> While:: <img src="images/kreativ.jpg" align="left"> is rendered correctly. It used to work. Does anybody know why it doesn't? What is the easiest way to get around this. It is not supposed to be illegal to put a tag like that into structured text, is it? I think that the most likely culprit is the stx parser seing some part of the <img> tag as inlined code. Unfortunately I have not been able to hunt it down myself. And it is a bit strange as there should be space around inline code. Does anybody here has a clue what it can be, or in what files I should look for the problem? The most likely files I found was:: \lib\python\StructuredText\ClassicStructuredText.py \lib\python\StructuredText\DocumentWithImages.py But the problem could easily be elsewhere. regards Max M

This is confirmed by http://www.w3.org/International/O-URL-code.html . Does this settle the issue on how to handle non-ascii strings in URLs? If so, is their anything stopping us allowing Unicode ids in Zope? This would involve patching OFS.ObjectManager.checkValidId to accept strings not in [0-9a-zA-Z\$\-_\.\+!\*'(),], and writing replacement urllib.quote and urllib.unquote methods for use by HTTPRequest.py. If this is deemed a sane plan, I'd like to try getting this into Zope 2.7. 2.7 what Python Version should I use

There was talk on using Python 2.3 for Zope 2.7. However when I build 2.7 from CVS the make complains that Python 2.3 is "suboptimal" and 2.2 prefered. Should I nonetheless run 2.7 with Python 2.3 ? -- mit freundlichen Grüssen Robert Rottermann www.redCOR.ch

Zope 2.7beta1

Hi, We've encountered micellaneous problems running Zope 2.7.0beta1 with Plone 1.0.5. It was "Missing docstring" error somewhere in CMFForum and "security assertions" when accessing MemberData.getProperty. Dunno if the issue is known but I was intending to get it out before bets3 is considered. Sorrry if it was fixed in beta2, sorry for not cunsulting collector and not making use of it.
