Product Testing

I'm somewhat new to zope in general, and I've been having some trouble developing products. Im running 2.7 on WinXP as a windows service. My biggest problem is with debugging my products. Right now, the only feedback I get is whether or not the zope service starts successfully. It would really help if I could get some error message as to what part of my product zope choked on. Update Zope Site With Unix Python Scripts

Hello, I am looking for a way to run custom python scripts in Unix, scheduled through cron, that will update the ZODB of our Zope site. The requirement is that our site cannot be shut down to accommodate this. We are running Zope 2.7.0. I tried "zopectl run", but I had to bring down our site to run the script. Does anyone update their Zope site using batch scripts without shutting down their site? Remove BDBStorage from 2.7 branch as well?

As BDBStorage has been removed from HEAD quite some time ago, I was wondering whether it would be possible/advisable to remove it from 2.7 branch as well. Would it? Zope runs again on the Zope 2 trunk

Zope hasn't run on the trunk for about a month and a half due to a bug introduced into the mounting code. The bug is now fixed and Zope runs again. More Transience weirdness in 2.7.1b1

It seems that there may still be some strangeness with Transience. After the problem yesterday, I changed my temp database to use filestorage to see if that would help. No luck, the problem showed up again today. I have not restarted Zope again today, so my system is still in the "screwed-up" state. Chris, if you'd like, I can probably get you access to the system if there is anything to be learned from it in its current state. Thanks, Steve
