Hello! I found in documentation for Zope2.13a http://docs.zope.org/zope2/releases/2.13/WHATSNEW.html <http://docs.zope.org/zope2/releases/2.13/WHATSNEW.html> that it's including ZODB 3.10. By running easy_install -i http://download.zope.org/Zope2/index/2.13.0a3 <http://download.zope.org/Zope2/index/2.13.0a3> Zope2 I got ZODB3-3.9.5-py2.7-linux-i686. egg. Zope Toolkit - 1.0a3 release

Hello. On behalf of the Zope Toolkit release team and the Zope community, I'm happy to announce the 1.0a3 alpha release of the Zope Toolkit. You can read more about the release at http://docs.zope.org/zopetoolkit/releases/overview-1.0a3.html. The first ZTK release supports all of Python 2.4, 2.5 and 2.6. To use the ZTK release, you can use: [buildout] extends = http://download.zope.org/zopetoolkit/index/1.0a3/ztk-versions.cfg http://download.zope.org/zopetoolkit/index/1.0a3/zopeapp-versions.cfg This release focuses on cleaning up the ztk and zopeapp package lists by deprecating packages that are not used by any of the frameworks that use the ZTK. The release team is currently discussing the further roadmap to a 1.0 final release and has some open discussion points to what remains to be done. Specifically the release team would like to have the ZTK tests pass on the Windows platform, where currently there are still quite a number of failures. Persistent principal folder?

Hi, I need to store persistent principals in a folder in the ZODB. I do not need any UI for the principal nor the principal folder. I'd like to use zope.pluggableauth to authenticate them. zope.app.authentication.principalfolder does nearly exactly what I need. But I do not like to use it as it has many bad dependencies only needed for ZMI. Even z3c.authenticator seems to do too much as it contains UI code, too. Is there something else like zope.app.authentication.principalfolder.PrincipalFolder? Or what is the way nowadays to store persistent principals? Could it be a solution to extract zope.app.authentication.principalfolder into a new package like `zope.principalfolder` or even zope.pluggableauth? Zope 2.12.10, permission zope.Public vs zope2.Public

Hello, In Zope 2.12.10, in permissions.zcml of Five, zope2.Public is defined. So you can use it in ZCML. However the code who setup the security in security.py of the same package doesn't care about zope2.Public, just about zope.Public. So when you use the permission zope2.Public, your page is not public, and when you use the permission zope.Public, well you get an error as it is not declared. (I would just rename the permission in the ZCML I think, that will create errors for users to force them to update their code).
