favicon.ico for 2.10?

Note that Zope2.app() opens a new ZODB connection which you need to close at some point. I suggest something along the lines of: app = Zope2.app() try: products = app.Control_Panel.Products ... finally: app._p_jar.close() I am also wondering if this code would break if a product was removed from the file system, but still had its persistent part hanging around in Control_Panel.Products. Twisted in Zope 2.10 ..some issues

Better ZDOM examples?

I'm using Zope version 2.5 My problem: I need to access the DOM. I need to pass a value from a form field to a python script. I've been trying to avoid this intersection for quite some time, using creative alternatives to get around the problem. However, I'm having difficulty avoiding it this time. I found something interesting: ZDOM. Looks promising, but I don't know what the heck I'm doing since the documentation is so laconic and sparse. The example provided is too general for me. I need a working, practical example. I'm not sure if 2.5 implements ZDOM. If so, has anyone used it yet? If someone has used it, then perhaps that someone could send me a code snippet as an example? Thanks for your time.

Can we put the one line testbrowser patch in, please? Without it, testbrowser never gets to see Cookie headers, which I consider quite a PIA. Zope 2.10: Remaining tasks

The feature freeze date for the June release is only days away. It was planned to be May 1st, but due to lots of pending branches, we might let it slip for a *couple* of days (not more!). I've compiled a rough list of outstanding tasks for Zope 2.10: http://www.zope.org/Wikis/DevSite/Projects/Zope2.10/Tasks Please complete and/or correct this list. It is up to the release managers (Stephan, Andreas) and the Pope to decide the exact feature freeze date, but I would suggest that we start merging those branches real soon. i18n for 'structure' in TAL

Hi there, i18n doesn't actually work for things marked as 'structure' in a page template in both Zope 2 and Zope 3. Zope 2 does do this with PlacelessTranslationService (through some tortuous route I won't go into). I think in practice large systems such as Plone, Silva and CPS are all translating snippets with bits of HTML in there, so i18n for structure is important. Zope 2 + Five i18n work however. Zope 3 presumably doesn't work either. I have a monkey patch lying around that fixes this in Zope 2.x and I could check the fix in directly (and fix it Zope 3.3 trunk too), if there are no objections. I realize we're getting close to a release and we're in feature freeze now, so this may be considered to be too large a change for this round. Regards, Martijn
