New ZPublisher Types

The documentation for the new types is in the process of being added to the zope site. I added four new types : "default", "ignore_empty", "record", and "records". The "record" type works like this: <INPUT TYPE="text" NAME="person.name:record" SIZE="30"> The input tag for the "name" field is named "person.name:record:ignore_empty". The ":record" part of the name indicates to Zope that the field should be converted to a record before passing it to the published method. A record variable will be created called "person" and it will have an attribute called "name". o The "records" type returns a list of records. o The "default" type allows a specified value to be inserted when the form field is left blank. o The "ignore_empty" type skips over the variable rather than returning a null string as its value when the field is left blank. [ANN: Zope source and binaries for Windows v3]

Hi all, I've posted a new release of the Zope source (and binary) patches. Located at http://student.uq.edu.au/~s341625/ temporarily until I move to a machine with a faster network connection. This file includes: * Binaries for Zope under windows * Makefiles for Visual C 5.0+ * Scripts to generate the above You need the Python 1.5.2 and Zope a2 sources to use the binaries. What's new? * Patches & fixes so it works with SquishDot * Streamlined install * Binary patches so the DC staff can get back to work instead of answering questions about windows binaries ;) * Modified README.txt slightly NOTE: This file is completely unsupported but does work;) I suggest people using old versions upgrade as old versions may have other, undiscovered bugs. Why are there two ppml.py's?

Why are there two ppml.py's in the CVS? One in ZUtil, and one in Shared/DC/xml. The two differ somewhat, I think the latter is an older revision of the first.. Zope 2 can't paste my objects

Hi, I wrote a few products, which work fine under Zope 1.11 and also seem to work under Zope 2.0.0a3. The same thing happens with all my products... so obviously something's wrong with them. But what? As far as I could see none of the documents regarding the products API say anything specific for Zope 2. And what is ZODB doing in importFile anyway when I'm only trying to paste an object?
