Misspelling?

I see that Zope 2 includes a module called zdeamon.py. Is this a misspelling or just a weird inside joke? This word is usually spelled "daemon" or "demon", afaik. Hi all! The version of Zope located at: http://student.uq.edu.au/~s341625 Works without errors on the following components: * ZClasses I am currently writing a Banner ZClass under Zope Win32 and so far ZClasses appear to work perfectly. * ALL contributed Products including SquishDot. * Has NO database corruption errors or errors in the management screens. Note that using a Linux Data.fs can cause weird problems (I didn't bother chasing this up). The catch is that you _MUST_ install it as described in the PCBuild\README.txt file otherwise it _WILL NOT_ work properly. Stuff to come... ---------------- Within the next few weeks I'll be releasing an extension patch to allow the use of the Python Imaging Library and OpenGL with Zope. Such are the risks of following the CVS very closely. ;) There is one thing cvs need BAD, a 'cvs unupdate' to revert a recently updated tree to it's previous state. I know this can be done on a file by file basis, but it would be nice to step a whole tree of code back one iteration. Any CVS Gods out there know the knack? Threading deadlock in ZServer 1.1b1?

Has anyone encountered deadlocks in the threading code in ZServer 1.1b1? I do not use threads in my code and I can see no way to disable the thread code in ZServer. I will try building Python with -g so I can at least muck about in the C call stack, but I'm hoping someone has encountered this problem and has some suggestions. I saw nothing useful in the bugs reported for ZServer. For the ease of use during the creation of content using zope....I am looking into integrating a java based systax highlighting editor into the page editor of zope (ie...instead of...or as an option to...the text box used in a html form)..... The only version of zope that I have played with is the 1.XXXX series....I was wondering what has changed in 2.XXX (I will D/L a copy and have a look myself...just asking)........also...Does anyone here have any objections/suggestions for this project?

This could be fouling you. Well, I *think* I found the issue. I was adding this link to the bottom of a tree structure, and it appears it was taking it's ,,/ from the tree's base of PARENT[0]. So, just for grins, I changed the Tree's base to PARENTS[-1], and it seems to be working now. I will examine this further...
