ZPatterns + Skinscript

I trying to understand ZPatterns and using it for a real world example which uses a SQL-based storage. can I do it just by defining the appropriate SkinScript Method in my defaultrack as data plugin. Do I define everything in one SkinScript Method, and what must be the name of that method. Can I delete the Specialist Plugins, PersistentSheets and PersistenceAttributes which are created, when I add a new rack ? Could you provide a simple example ? Command Line Database Packing ?

Hello , Is there a way to run a script that could pack the database from the command line ? I am set up on a Linux system and would like a cron job to pack my database after it updates the live version of Zope. Thanks klarson(a)spatial.com

Hey Thanks . I looked at the source and realized that is a pretty easy thing to figure out I would have thought about it. I did have to adjust a little for mine to work thou and used /Control_Panel/Database/manage_pack?days:float=0 Thanks a bunch ! Does ZServer/medusa/ftp_server.py need a handle_connect method in xmit_channel. Unless I add def handle_connect(self): pass to xmit_channel I keep getting connect event errors using FTP. -- Robin Becker

Urgent code-review: code works on win2k, fails on Linux

I try to extend the ftp-server ( and http-server, but that works fine ) in Medusa/Zope to fit into a project I'm working on. The following script works fine under Windows2k, but it fails under Linux giving me a IOException when it tries to open the file I try to upload for writing. A ftp-client says the current working directory is "/" after login, which the user off course doesn't have write-access to, but I cannot seem to get the ftp-server to start in the right folder. I don't even know if that's the real problem ... What I need is a ftp-server that receives files of a specific type ( based on extension) in a specific folder built from FTP_FOLDER + username. That's it. No listing of files, no making of folders, removing etc. It's suppose to plug right into Zope or Medusa and so far everything works great, but only on Windows, and the final product must run on Linux.
