ZPatterns

Hi, I have trouble to install ZPatterns. I don't understand the following: After unpacking the ZPatterns product, you will need to build this extension using the included 'Setup' file in the ZPatterns directory. If you are not building ZPatterns in the lib/python/Products directory of your Zope installation, you will need to edit the 'Setup' file to reflect the correct paths to the include files it wants. Please follow the standard procedures for building a Python module on your platform. (On Unix-ish systems, this usually consists of copying a 'Makefile.pre.in' to the directory, then doing a 'make -f Makefile.pre.in boot' followed by 'make'. How to do on a WinNT System? Streaming?

Is it possible to "stream" (send data to the client via HTTP incrementally) from Python code, or does ZPublisher only send the data as a single wad when the method returns? Assuming it is possible, obviously it requires using some other API rather than just 'return'ing a string... where can I find documentation and/or examples on that? If there is no existing documentation or examples, source code would do. Latest ZPatterns stability

How stable is the latest ZPatterns beta? I'd like to put up a site using it, but I'm still kinda wary of doing it. Admittedly, I ahven't had any TransactionErrors since upgrading. Has anyone had them? Or are the transaction problems solved? ACL users and Packing the DB

Thanks to everyone who has responded with info about how to admin the Data.fs and all the ACL users from a linux command line or cron job. Just to pass the info on here is what I have so far: I have found a way to kill the user via a link or straight html url http://username:password@Your.Domain.com:8080/testfolder?ids:list=acl_users… This will delete the acl users folder out of what ever folder you have it set for. Exp: testfolder. now if I can get my lynx to run it ok I will be set. ( lynx does not like it so far but works fine from a browser url ) Also from a linux command line you can pack the db via ?: wget http://username:password@Your.Domain.com:8080/Control_Panel/Database/manage… ( have to install wget if not already installed http://www.redhat.com/swr/i386/wget-1.5.3-10.i386.html) thanks again will keep you updated on any news I get Keith Larson Web Developer

Problem with LoginManager, UserSource and object re-mapping

Hi, I have the following setup: - LoginManager with 3 UserSources, one of them named CustomerUserSource. - A Customers specialist, using a Customer ZClass for storage. Customer has a 'login' propertysheet with property 'password', and a getCustomerByName method returning a customer object. - CustomerUserSource 'load by accessing attribute' is set to 'id'. - A SkinScript in CustomerUserSource: WITH Customers.getCustomerByName(Customers, self.id) COMPUTE password=password, original_object=RESULT The following PythonMethod: obj=self.CustomerUserSource.getItem('jane') return obj.password returns the correct password for customer 'jane', but this one: obj=self.getItem('jane') return obj.password returns this: NameError password Troubleshooting Suggestions This resource may be trying to reference a nonexistent object or variable password. I'm having troubles with MySQL MONTHNAME() function

Hello: I'm from Argentina, as you shoud now, I speak spanish. I'm usig MySQL, as you sould also now, it's in English. I have to give de time informatio in letters. Like 'Febrero' (02, February). I found two ways, but non of them gives me good results. The first way is to ask to the database a select statemment with it's own MONTHNAME() functio. But I couldn't translate to Spanish that is what I need. The other way is to make a little function that compares the month number (selected with te MONTH() function). In this case I had the same trouble: I can't compare a DateTime MySQL function var with an other var. I can't do this: <dtml-if " Month(DATE)==' 1' >Diciembre <dtml-elif " Month(DATE)==' 2' >Febrero etc.... Thanks to anyone who can help me, or read me. And please, forget my english.
