ZSQL methods: INSERT

Dear Sir, Madam, I am Just new to the Zope Dev List and Maybe You have already had discussions on the INSERT problem in ZSQL methods. ZSQL method work just fine if you want to SELECT data from the database. But how do we organise an insert as beautiful??? I am trying to write an Editor screen to write stories in. The Editor exists out of different forms, a <SELECT> and several series of radio buttons. I would like to write it in an ObjectOriented way. Write a Produkt like RadioButtons that inserts everything in the MySQL database. I also write the form and select. Afterwards I just want to put everything together in one page like different SELECT ZSQL methods. Without any interference with eace other

MySQL on NT

Dear, Maybe it is already discussed but i didn't find it on the Archives. I have MySQL+Zope working on a Linux Box. But I am Forced to check if everything works also on a NT installation of ZOPE+ MYSQL Problem is that the MySQLmodules are based on version 3.22 of MySQL While the Downloadable version of MYSQL for windows is only 3.21. There are some conflict for example my_ulonglong. These problems are mentioned in the README.NT of the module. But I cannot compile the stuff. Any Answer or links to the solution? Greetings

thread restrictions?

Are there any restrictions on using threads in ExternalMethods I am trying to figure out why my cpu usage goes to 100% after calling the function TGA_CALC below as an ExternalMethod. Zope for NetWare, or NDS Authentication - anyone interested?

Subject pretty much says it all, is anyone interested in a NetWare NLM version of Zope? How about an etcUserDb that authenticates to NDS from Windows (or NetWare)? Acquisition and Folders in ZClasses

Maybe this belongs on zope-dev... I'm trying to decide if I should change how I do these things, or if what I'm describing below is how things *should* work... Any comments? Thanks, Kevin --- Hi, I'm having trouble with acquisition in a case where I have a ZClass with a Folder inside the Methods tab of the class. Here's what I've got: KMArticleStore (ZClass) - article_list (DTML Method) - html (Folder) * index_html (DTML Method) * list_item (DTML Method) Zope Root - index_html (DTML Method) - art (KMArticleStore) My index_html looks like this: <dtml-with art> <dtml-with html> <dtml-var "index_html(category='top')"> </dtml-with> </dtml-with> The index_html in the html Folder looks like: <dtml-var standard_html_header> <dtml-var article_list> <dtml-var standard_html_footer> When I access the top level index_html, I get a KeyError in the other index_html for 'standard_html_header' which exists in the Zope root. If I remove that reference (replacing it with just <html><body>), it can't find article_list... which exists in the KMArticleStore. *Should* this work? I was figuring that a Folder within a ZClass should work like a normal Folder. Also, should Zope allow us to override a ZClass class method at the instance level? (I just get an error stating that the id already exists). I'm running 2.0a4 (on Windows). If this behavior is not reproduceable, then I'll check out the beta when it comes out and see how it works... Zope in endless loop

Hi, we're having problems with Zope 1.10.3 running under python 1.5.1 on Linux. It seems like every now and then our Zope process (running through pcgi) gets into an endless loop and we have to kill it. We're not publishing/instantiating any "custom" objects -- just plain DTML methods and scripts which seemed to work until we did alot of work over the last couple of days. Now we can got to a specific page, edit the DTML and Zope just hangs. Is there anyway to turn on debugging/loggin to see what is going on within Zope? thanks, -jeff

Ken.] We've reinstated updates to the public CVS repository (before the Zope2 release - looks like that may be a day or two) - *with an important change*: Ongoing development is being applied to a new directory, Zope2. The old Zope module, on which the prior public checkouts were based, will *not* be revised, so: - If you want to get the new version you'll have to do a new checkout of the Zope2 module. This actually simplifies a bunch of things from our internal perspective, and a few things from the external perspective, and has the benefit of providing a checkpoint of the last Zope1 release. ZClass instances detatched from ZClass

Zopists, I have been checking this out and it seems to be a bug. I checked the collector and didn't see this. I have instances of a ZClass. I change the meta_type of the ZClass. Should not the meta_type of those instances also change? They don't. Icons are the same way. If I have and instance, then changes the icon for the ZClass, the instance icon remains the same. It's not a cache issue. I have restarted and flushed the browser. It seems that things on under the Basic tab don't affect already created instences. This isn't how ZClasses is designed, right? Also, the bug http://www.zope.org/Collector/392/view , says completed, but even with a CVS from 7/20, the meta_types still won't change in any add selection lists.
