POSKeyErrors

We are running Zope 2.5.1 and ZEO 1. When someone does an Undo it doesn't seem to update all of the ZEO clients consistently. Some ZEO clients reflect the undo, others sometimes show an older version of the database and sometimes we get POSKeyErrors. Any idea what causes this? It's an old version of ZEO, is this a known bug? The traceback is below. PCGI?

I'm wondering how PCGI should be supported in Zope moving forward. We currently have: - A PCGI server in ZServer - A pcgi directory that contains: o A cgi program that is very thin and whos only job is to forward requests to an app server running pcgi o An unused PCGI "publisher", which would be used by a Python application server that wasn't running ZServer. o A debugging tool named MrCreosote. I don't know if anyone is using this. I'd like to continue supporting PCGI in ZServer as long as it is used. I'd like to omit the pcgi directory fron the Zope distribution and make it a separate distribution. Would anyone object to these changes for Zope 2.7? Python core dump zope 2.6.1+CMF1.3

I haven't touched Z2 in a while. But I need a Plone site (I think). So I downloaded 2.6.1, CMF1.3, and Plone 1.0. Installed all on FreeBSD 4.7. Created a plone portal. Going to the plone site URL causes a python core dump. Created a plain CMF site. Going to the site URL causes a python core dump. Going to the /manage version of the same URL works fine, by the way. Others have seen this, so it should be easy for Concerned Parties to reproduce this. I have to run off to a meeting so I can't do any more deubgging on this tonight. NB: python 2.2.2 also core dumps under the same scenario. --RDM

Multiple author and reviewer roles in Zope CMF

I would like to apply Zope CMF to our organization which is made up of numerous departments. Each department has one or more managers (reviewers) and content providers. Also, some managers cross departments, as well as content providers. How can I create several Zope CMF roles (reviewer and author) for each department so that reviewers for that department will only see content created by authors in that department? passing browserId value

Hi list, I want to embed the browserId value in every link/button/clickable-item of the p ages in my site, so that users get a sessioned access without using cookies. How can I manage this task without having to manually rewrite the code of the pa ges served by the site? Some pages are the dynamical output of a Zope product call, how can I intercept them, embed the browserId and then serve it to the client? It seems to me that embedding the browserId DYNAMICALLY is the only way to avoid statically re-write a lot of code (error-prone and time-wasting approach), the matter is how! I would prefer not to use JavaScript, only DTML or other Zopish/Pythonish resources. Accept-Charset hearders causing 500 internal server error.[correct but not lenient]

Hi, We have problems with the Accept-Charset headers that are sent to the zope server by some mobile phones: fi: 'Accept-Charset':'ISO-8859-1, US-ASCII, UTF-8; Q=0.8' These cause a 500 internal server error. (Error Value: invalid literal for float(): =0.8 ) I checked with the HTTP1.1 RFC26160 section 14.2 and the header seems valid, but in fact isn't: there is a space between the semi-colon and the Q char (which shouldn't be there acoording to the spec). So, in principle, this is not a zope server bug, but an inflexibility. I think the server should be a bit more lenient. a simple .strip() in the right place should do. Could you guys fix this?
