Question about _v_ attributes and database connections

Hi all. We're trying to tackle a problem in hanging connections in ZPsycopg. However, I would like to have some information about the functioning of the _v_ attributes, and the cache management. In particular: 1) where is the code which handles the _v_ attributes (I like to look at the source code, you know ;)) 2) where is the code which handles the caching of the objects? 3) is it possible to disable caching of some object? 4) when an _v_ attribute is removed, what code of the object/attribute itself is called? hi after installing pysycopg following the steps as mentioned in the INSTALL file of pyscopg when i started Zope i got following error. Order of Form Keys in REQUEST

Hi, How does Zope's REQUEST object decide what order to store the form keys? I've got a form with fields in order a, b, c, d - but in REQUEST.form, they're stored out of order. This is causing quite a big problem, as I'd like to dynamically output the form values in order after the form has been submitted. Any thoughts? Many thanks in advance. :) Sandra.

Hi again, Thank you for your answer about "Specify a domain and leave the password for a user blank". I have other similar question. I am using Local File System 1-1-0, but this version does not allow to view the content when you reference the Local File System in the URL, or when you click on View. Why it can occur? Thanks !

Catching "extra path"

Hi again. I'm chipping away at the problem I asked about earlier ("Product Access to Files") -- or perhaps just beating my head against it -- and I've got another question. If I'm writing a Python script within the ZMI, any URL that resolves to my script will invoke the script, even if the URL has "extra" stuff appended: http://host/folder/script/a/b/c will invoke a script at /folder/script. Furthermore, I can get at the "a/b/c" part from within the script by accessing 'traverse_subpath'. The question is, how can I do this from within a Python-based product? Calling http://host/folder/object/method/a/b/c fails to invoke the method 'method' on my custom object 'object'. Instead, I get a "Cannot locate object" page. It's hard to believe there's something I can do with a ZMI Python script that I can't do in a Python product... Product directory?

Greetings again. This has to be an easy one. >From within my Python-based product's code, how do I get access to the product's directory on the filesystem? os.getcwd() seems to provide the working directory of the shell used to launch Zope, at least when running in debug mode. I've tried ferreting it out from the source to DTMLFile and etc., but I can't trace it. zope products and folders

Please excuse me if this subject is off-topic - there seem to be no zope lists for the syntax of zope products! I am writing a zope product for the representation of biological data in a user aware context. I have a working product that satisfies my primary needs - but I would like to improve a little before releasing. Could someone explain (or point me to resources) how to turn a product into a "folder" like object so that I can bind images, DTML or python scripts directly into the product - I am stumped and cannot find any explanation for this. I have looked at the code from Squishdot etc - and find that this has something to do with "manage_main" - I cannot progress beyond this. Specify a domain and leave the password for a user blank

Hi, In Zope 2.4 or older versions when a user is created, if you specify a domain and leave the password for a user blank, then anyone from the permitted domains automatically gets the user's roles without having to log in. However, it is not possible in Zope 2.7. I have created a user specifying a domain and leave the password for this user blank, and although I am in the domain, I have to log in. Anybody help me about it ? How can I create a user, specifying a domain, and if the user is in the domain does not have to log in?
